Educational Resources
- EEK! (Environmental Education for Kids)
an electronic magazine for kids in grades 4-8, published by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
Organizations
- The
Golden Sands Resource Conservation & Development Council, Inc.
hosts events such as the Prairie Chicken Festival, held in part at the Mead.

University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point
and the Mead maintain a collaborative relationship. The Mead provides UWSP Natural Resource and Environmental Education students
a research and learning site.
